Management
Sophia Elise is a founding member of the NZ Art Guild and has been involved with managing it since it was founded in July 2004. She is responsible for driving the strategy and direction as well as the day to day management and administrative responsibilities of the NZ Art Guild and all its events. Sophia is an Auckland based artist, trust board member of the Mairangi Art Centre, member of ART Generator programme and also has a background in nursing and management.
Sophia is supported in this role by a team of volunteers - Tanya Dann, Christine Dempster, Rachael Inch, Chelsea Davis and Melissa Muirhead. They are all artists and therefore understand the personal struggles and pitfalls that artists go through. They have worked together to create a resource which supports artists of all career stages. Between them they also have a wealth of knowledge and experience to help promote artists via the internet, coordinating exhibitions, art events etc.
